Not True, But Useful…
Series 1-5 Transcripts
In April 2020, during the COVID-19 lockdown, Artistic Directors Declan Donnellan and Nick Ormerod teamed up remotely with director Lucie Dawkins to record a series of creative conversations. The resulting audio podcasts of the series – entitled ‘Not True, But Useful…’ – were released in April-July 2020.
Following the success of the first series, Declan, Nick and Lucie continued talking about theatre, acting, and Cheek by Jowl’s production history. The result is 44 episodes over 5 series, with more episodes to come in the near future.
Transcripts of every episode are accessible for free via the buttons below, organised by series.
The transcripts for Series 1 have also been edited to serve as more focused written educational resources, and are also available in Italian, Spanish, and French.
