King Lear
Rey Lear
Nearing the end of his life, King Lear divides his kingdom between his daughters. Misjudging their loyalty, he soon finds himself in a maelstrom of ambition and treachery that pitches him against his children, his mind, and against nature itself.
King Lear marks Cheek by Jowl’s third production with its Spanish company, and its first co-production with Teatro del Soho CaixaBank, under the Artistic Direction of Antonio Banderas. Read more

The Two Gentlemen of Verona

After their acclaimed Life is a Dream, Cheek by Jowl return to work with the same ensemble of actors on Los dos hidalgos de Verona. In Two Gentlemen of Verona the young Shakespeare sketches themes that would burst into flower in his later works. Read more
