Cheek by Jowl at the Festival de Almagro

Two weeks ago Declan and Nick had the pleasure of visiting the Festival de Almagro to deliver a workshop to twelve young directors. Entitled “Directing the Actor,” our Artistic Directors worked with twelve directors on excerpts from King Lear, exploring what a director can do to release energy in a scene and help bring the verse alive. We are deeply thankful to all who attended and to both the Festival de Almagro and UNIA for their support.

While in Spain, Declan also presented ‘El actor y el espacio,’ the Spanish translation of his The Actor and the Space. As part of this presentation, Declan and Nick held a press conference and Q&A, which you can watch below (Spanish with English subtitles).
