Emerging Theatre-Makers Online Talk on 30 September 2020

Join Cheek by Jowl for an informal online talk with Artistic Directors Declan Donnellan and Nick Ormerod via Zoom on Wednesday 30 September at 5pm.

Hosted by Lucie Dawkins (the presenter of our podcast ‘Not True, But Useful’), this free event is for directors, writers and designers who would like to learn more about Cheek by Jowl’s approaches to text and rehearsal.

Participants will ideally be familiar with Cheek by Jowl’s work, their podcast, Declan Donnellan’s book The Actor & the Target, and have graduated and/or are now working in their field.

  • This talk is for emerging directors, writers and designers.
  • This event is for ages 18+ and will last roughly 1 hour.
  • Numbers will be capped, with an additional waiting list in case of any dropout.
  • Admission will be based on eligibility and confirmed only when you receive a confirmation email from Cheek by Jowl.
  • This session will not be recorded and any recording of the session is not permitted.
  • The application deadline is midnight on Sunday 20 September.
