As You Like It – a new Education Pack

We’ve just released the latest in our series of education packs, based on our 1991-95 production of As You Like It. Our education packs are totally free to access, and have been praised by students and teachers alike.

Cheek by Jowl’s production of As You Like It premiered in 1991 and went on to international success, performing in Sao Paulo, New York City, Tokyo and Paris – and now you can delve into it in depth more than 30 years later.

Curated by Lucie Dawkins, the pack includes interviews with Declan and Nick, discussions of gender performance, the challenges of speaking Shakespeare’s verse, alongside work from leading Shakespeare scholars James Shapiro and Peter Kirwan, as well as a full-length documentary from the Open University.
