Aimed at Theatre Studies A Level (or equivalent) students, workshops give students a unique opportunity to work practically with actors and our Artistic Team.

Aims

By working very practically with Troilus and Cressida, our forthcoming 2008 production, students will:

• Experience professional rehearsal techniques
• Explore the techniques of Declan Donnellan (Cheek by Jowl Artistic Director) as a contemporary practitioner
• Experience Cheek by Jowl’s method of putting the actor at the heart of our work
• Gain an insight into possible career paths within the performing arts

Structure

• Introduction to the work of the company and Cheek by Jowl in context
• Warm up and movement session
• Cheek by Jowl rehearsal with actors
• Practical session with students and rehearsal techniques
• Question and Answer Session
